Autumn colours from above

Sliding tiles · 3×3 to 6×6

About the picture

For a few weeks in autumn the low shrubs of the northern fells turn red, orange and gold and the mountain birches go yellow — the season Finns call ruska. From the air the colours lie like carpets across the slopes, a silvery river winds through the valley past pale sandbanks, and dark spruces gather in patches.

Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.

How to approach these sliding tiles

Sliding puzzles are solved from the top down: finish the first row, then the second, and keep them intact. Top rows of this picture: the autumn scrub.

Tiles with clear detail are easy to recognise by eye: the river, the red and gold patches. Where tiles look alike, switch on the numbers (the # button) — the gap always ends in the bottom-right corner.
