About the picture
For a few weeks in autumn the low shrubs of the northern fells turn red, orange and gold and the mountain birches go yellow — the season Finns call ruska. From the air the colours lie like carpets across the slopes, a silvery river winds through the valley past pale sandbanks, and dark spruces gather in patches.
Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.
How to approach this rotation puzzle
Seen at an angle from the air, the valley recedes into the distance: shrubs and trees get smaller toward the top of the picture, and the river winds down toward the bottom. Use the river to turn the middle tiles.
Easy to orient: the river, the red and gold patches. Slow to orient: the autumn scrub, the dense forest. A tile turned three quarters needs only one turn back — right-click or Shift+Enter.
