About the picture
On exposed northern hills, layers of snow and frozen rime build up on spruces through the winter until the trees disappear inside white shapes. Seen through a long lens, the shapes overlap like a crowd of odd figures, and the low sun, glowing through thin cloud, lays long blue shadows across the snow.
Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.
How to approach this rotation puzzle
Snow always rests on top of the branches. On each tree tile, turn until the white load sits on the upper side of the boughs.
Easy to orient: the snow-sculpted trees, the low sun, the long shadows. Slow to orient: the open snow, the pale sky. A tile turned three quarters needs only one turn back — right-click or Shift+Enter.
