Granite islets

Rotate tiles · 6 to 40 tiles

About the picture

Ice-age glaciers ground the bedrock of northern coasts smooth, and in the archipelago it still shows as rounded granite islets. Small twisted pines grow from cracks in the rock, the clear water shows stones near the shore, and more islands line the horizon in late-afternoon light.

Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.

How to approach this rotation puzzle

A long horizon runs across the picture. Every tile that touches it must show it level, with sky above and water or ice below.

Easy to orient: the granite rocks, the pines on the rock, the stones. Slow to orient: the open sea, the pale sky. A tile turned three quarters needs only one turn back — right-click or Shift+Enter.
