Granite islets

Swap tiles · 6 to 40 tiles

About the picture

Ice-age glaciers ground the bedrock of northern coasts smooth, and in the archipelago it still shows as rounded granite islets. Small twisted pines grow from cracks in the rock, the clear water shows stones near the shore, and more islands line the horizon in late-afternoon light.

Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.

How to approach this swap puzzle

A tile that lands in its correct place locks and gets an outline, so every good swap is permanent. Start with tiles that are easy to place by eye: the granite rocks, the pines on the rock, the stones.

Then fill the picture area by area. The slow part: the open sea, the pale sky. Use the preview button to compare tiles from these areas with the full picture.
