Granite islets

Jigsaw · 12 to 198 pieces

About the picture

Ice-age glaciers ground the bedrock of northern coasts smooth, and in the archipelago it still shows as rounded granite islets. Small twisted pines grow from cracks in the rock, the clear water shows stones near the shore, and more islands line the horizon in late-afternoon light.

Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.

How to approach this jigsaw

Start with the frame: switch on Edges and only border pieces stay on the table. After the frame, build the parts with strong shapes and colour: the granite rocks, the pines on the rock, the stones.

Leave for the end: the open sea, the pale sky. Pieces from these areas look alike, so match them by the shape of their tabs and blanks rather than by colour.
