Islands above the sea fog

Rotate tiles · 6 to 40 tiles

About the picture

Sea fog often forms in calm weather when warmer air moves over cold water, and it can lie in such a thin layer that only the tops of the islands show. Here pine-covered tops rise above fog that the newly risen sun has turned pale gold, gulls cross the gap, and rounded rocks sit in calm water at the front.

Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.

How to approach this rotation puzzle

A long horizon runs across the picture. Every tile that touches it must show it level, with sky above and water or ice below.

Easy to orient: the island tops, the seabirds, the granite rocks. Slow to orient: the fog, the still water. A tile turned three quarters needs only one turn back — right-click or Shift+Enter.
