Islands above the sea fog

Swap tiles · 6 to 40 tiles

About the picture

Sea fog often forms in calm weather when warmer air moves over cold water, and it can lie in such a thin layer that only the tops of the islands show. Here pine-covered tops rise above fog that the newly risen sun has turned pale gold, gulls cross the gap, and rounded rocks sit in calm water at the front.

Computer-generated scene; it does not show a specific real place.

How to approach this swap puzzle

A tile that lands in its correct place locks and gets an outline, so every good swap is permanent. Start with tiles that are easy to place by eye: the island tops, the seabirds, the granite rocks.

Then fill the picture area by area. The slow part: the fog, the still water. Use the preview button to compare tiles from these areas with the full picture.
